Justin Roxo
Artist & Teacher
I am an experienced art educator and artist with a passion for creativity and teaching. I graduated from Savannah College of Art & Design in 2009 with a BFA in Film & Television and worked in the film industry for nearly a decade before transitioning to teaching in 2013. In 2018, I earned an MFA in Studio Art from Stony Brook University, where I also taught Digital Art to undergraduates.

I also coordinate the annual Artist Career Fair, connecting students with local artists, colleges, and resources to prepare for creative careers. Outside of school, I teach traditional painting and drawing to middle school students at Champion Academy in Morrisville, NC, and remain dedicated to helping students develop their artistic skills, gain industry knowledge, and prepare for successful futures in the arts.

BFA in Film & Television. Focused on storytelling, film production, and visual creativity. Developed technical and artistic skills in cinematography, editing, and directing.

Queens College
Teaching Certificate in Visual Art. Gained skills in art education, curriculum design, and student engagement strategies, preparing for a career in teaching visual art to young learners.

Stony Brook University
MFA in Studio Art. Specialized in Digital Art and interdisciplinary approaches to art-making. Served as an apprentice instructor, teaching Digital Art to undergraduate students and receiving a teaching scholarship for excellence.
