Letterhead Luxe
Using the same logo and branding from your business card, you will design a professional letterhead that complements your overall brand identity. This project will challenge you to apply design principles such as balance, unity, and simplicity while creating a polished and functional letterhead. The majority of your project should be created in InDesign, where you’ll learn to organize text and visual elements effectively. Use the Elements and Principles of Design to create a cohesive and professional design package.

Things to Consider While Designing:
-
Keep It Simple:
A clean and minimal design ensures your letterhead looks polished and does not distract from the content. Avoid unnecessary clutter or overcomplicating the layout. -
Consistent Branding:
Use colors, fonts, and design elements consistent with your branding from the business card project. Ensure your logo is clear and high-quality. -
Appropriate Font Choices:
Choose professional and readable fonts, using no more than two. Consider a sans-serif font for headings and a serif font for the body text to create contrast while maintaining legibility. -
Color Scheme:
Stick to a limited palette (2-3 complementary colors) that matches your brand. Ensure the design also works well in grayscale for black-and-white printing. -
Well-Balanced Layout:
Place logos and contact information strategically, typically in the header or footer. Use white space effectively to avoid a crowded look. -
Paper Size and Margins:
Ensure your design fits standard document sizes (e.g., Letter or A4) with appropriate margins to avoid cutting off elements during printing. -
Legibility:
Prioritize text readability with sufficient contrast between text and background. Avoid very small fonts or overly decorative typefaces that compromise clarity.
